Buying Brides With Beer
Hahahha...well, the "bridal bizarre" should be one of those events that has Russian and Phillipino women come in to marry those 50-year-old businessmen that order them thru the mail.— January 14, 2009 9:46 a.m.

Here's the logic those idiotic riot losers probably have. They'll probably think it's because they rioted, that the police had to take action. They don't realize, if the cop did something wrong, and they had prove, they would've arrested him. Thanks for posting the link.— January 14, 2009 12:49 a.m.
Chris Cantore and Hilary Chambers leave San Diego Clear Channel stations
Hi jv. Well...I have to confess, that the shows on the left, I really haven't heard many of them. I would hear bits and pieces, and they never impressed me. But, I'd be willing to bet I never heard more than 20 minutes of any one show, so you're right. I'm not a good judge of which of the Democrats did a good show. Now that I think about it, I heard Randi Rhodes for an hour, and she wasn't half bad. Regarding your questions, to me, "learning about an issue" is something that you really can't take with much more than a grain of salt when listening to those shows. I read something interesting in Al Frankens book (he writes funny books...just doesn't do funny/interesting shows). He talked about a stat Rush Limbaugh threw out there, that it took Al about 10 minutes, and a few phone calls, to figure out was completely wrong (something about minimum wage jobs). So, to me, if people think they are learning from those shows, they're crazy. I met this 400 pound Italian guy, that would quote Michael Savage and Michael Corleon all the time. Those were his two heroes. When I finally got around to hearing Savages show...sometimes I agreed with him. But boy, that's a hard show to listen to. For some reason, a person like Dennis Miller, I agree with absolutely none of his opinions. Yet his radio show is highly entertaining, especially when he has an actor or comedian on. And, I agree with Bill O'Reily only about 25% of the time, but his radio show is pretty good. Yet, for some reason, the liberals that I'd hear on the radio or even being interviewed on the radio (margaret cho, garafolo)...they sound idiotic. Take, for example, that little fight on The View the other day. I hate, hate, hate Ann Coultier. Yet, she made more sense than all 4 of the liberal ladies on The View.— January 13, 2009 8:29 p.m.

Okay Fred, that's fine. Then why don't these idiots breaking shop windows WAIT until the cop gets away with no punishment (if that is what they are convinced will happen)? Then they can do all the rioting they want. But no. They insist on action being taken RIGHT NOW! Well, guess what? The world doesn't revolve around justice being done in the timely manner they want. And, would you calmly be able to explain to them, that Phil Spector shot a woman in his home (allegedly), and he still isn't in jail over it.— January 13, 2009 7:58 a.m.
Bad Customer Service
At restaurants, if that happens, I love it (my girlfriend hates it). I joke, "cool...I saved money on a tip today." And she always tries to defend them with comments like "It is really busy in here." Which it sometimes is. But then, they need to be staffed better. I'm tipping for "good service," not crappy service.— January 13, 2009 7:55 a.m.
San Diego Stupid Chargers
Well, the Chargers lost. Hearbreaking that it's the second year that they didn't have LT, although a little easier to take, knowing they probably would've lost even with him. That Steelers team is good.— January 13, 2009 1:14 a.m.
Unkind History
I just got around to reading the full story on these. And..I'm not sure if this is the same Tubes concert...but years and years ago, when I did bar/nightclub reviews for the Reader, I did a write-up about the Catamaran. Someone that worked there, told me about a conversation they had with someone they worked there back when the Tubes played, and how singer Fee Waybill was so angry about something. I can't remember all the details. Something like him not being allowed to walk thru the kitchen, even though that was one of the main ways to get to the stage, and a big argument with management. So Fee started to crank call the Catamaran, and even send a package of fecal matter to the club. Now, I have no proof of this. And the guy that told me the story doesn't, either. IT was just told to him by the person that worked there back when The Tubes played there. Bizarre, if it's true.— January 12, 2009 1:30 a.m.
The Idiotic Charles Barkley
Hahhahaa...no, he does basketball commentary for TNT.— January 11, 2009 12:56 p.m.

Yeah, that would've been a great respone to the T-shirt. Nice. I just wish people that want to bash in the store windows of businesses where they live, would give it more thought. Maybe let the legal system play out first.— January 11, 2009 12:55 p.m.
San Diego Super Chargers
Okay...commercial during the Eagles/Giants game. Looks like Eagles will win, I'm stoked. So, my response to this. Fred gets my vote. In the 70s, it was Joe Walsh I would vote for president. Now, it's Fred. And, we'll print up those shirts that say RIGHT SAID FRED>— January 11, 2009 12:52 p.m.
