That's what I thought at first, Visduh. But the article actually says they crossed going north and then turned and headed south. I guess it was a case of cold feet. But it will not surprise me if some of the southern markets start requesting that Humbolt Primo.

That hot dog looks like it presents a dangerously low profile. I'm not sure anyone ought to be going out in the streets with it, What will drivers make of it when viewed from directly behind? Although, I would love to see an improvement on current bikes.

AMSD: Unplugged unplugged?

If this "dynamic and forward thinking" delusional were truly concerned about the members of his parish, he would let them decide if the church should be used for music services. I suspect his real concern is that you are taking away the attention he needs and craves. Additionally, by taking away the pews, he can truly be the center of attention and prevent Mr. Driscoll, or anyone, from providing a comfortable setting for a secular form of spirituality. This is what religion does. It makes sure people do not come together as human beings. It separates us. Music brings us together; religion keeps us apart.

La Mesa chicken ordinance proposed by the Tweets

Well, I say "cock-a-doodle-do!" to these young ladies and their brave mom. What fun is it living in La Mesa and not being able to have a few chickens? I see this as part of the home food movement that includes bee keepers and garden tenders and chickeneers and goat herders. Everyone wants to have something to eat other than what is available at Von's...and for very good reason. This week's special: Salmonella. Yuk. Let the girls have their chickens.

Diva Las Vegas

Oatman is fun, but watch out for those donkeys once they see you have food in your hand. It's a long ride just to get bullied by a burro. I would instead recommend the two million dollar exhibit of hand-blown glass flowers by Dale Chihuily in the ceiling of the Bellagio lobby. Spectacular! Also, I can't believe you and David did not go to Freemont St. (the old downtown of Vegas) and ride the zip line after checking out the outdoor neon art museum at the south end. You are absolutely right in that Vegas is "new." Now, you can spend days touring the sights and not drop a dime at a casino and still have a great time (although you will never win your million if you don't play). Oh, and if you do go again, you absolutely have to go to the top of the Stratosphere at night. The view is worth a million bucks.
