San Diego City Employees pension fund ailing
Ooops... almost forgot to ask. Fred, how's the volunteering for the city going? You did sign up, didn't you? Johnny? Have you volunteered at the family law center yet?— February 28, 2009 1:55 p.m.

Fred, so do I make you uncomfortable? I'm just asking because you're attacking my character as much as I'm attacking DeMaio's....— February 28, 2009 1:54 p.m.

Johnny, I'm guessing it will go to 1000+, but we'll see.— February 28, 2009 1:53 p.m.

Fred, apparently you missed the part where I said McGrory should be charged along with Saathoff et al. If they're guilty, they're all guilty together.— February 28, 2009 1:52 p.m.

Johnny, I see you did not comment on my request to either provide a link to the nepotism lawsuit against the SDFD or admit you made that up. The rest of you are probably wondering why I'm hounding Johnny on this. Very simply, it shows how he's been making up stories to support his claims.— February 28, 2009 1:50 p.m.

Fred, once again, the complaint of those in DeMaio's district is that he is not paying attention to their local district needs. I'm not exactly sure how that's attacking his character.— February 28, 2009 1:46 p.m.

Don, By "Republican pawn" I mean that DeMaio couldn't give a hoot about his district. He's here strictly to break the unions -- and thus free up city money for private enterprise. That's why he bought homes in four different council districts. He was simply trying to find the one he could win in. That's called a carpetbagger. I have friends on the town council up there in RB and Scripps Ranch. They're pretty disgusted that DeMaio doesn't know a thing about issues in his district and doesn't seem to want to. He is essentially trying to be the mayor from a one district council member position.— February 28, 2009 10:08 a.m.

Johnny, speaking of half truths -- I'm still waiting for the nepotism consent decree link. Since it's been two weeks and you haven't produced it, I guess we can all assume that you made that up.— February 28, 2009 10:02 a.m.

Fred, specifically which posts at the VoSD are you referring to? I am not a union representative and therefore nothing I write should be construed as union policy. I'm simply a member, though occasionally an outspoken one. You can rest assured that if I was a union board member you would know it. In fact, I have seen no union board members posting, except as a "feature". I don't know who all the firefighters who post are, but I'm pretty sure none are on the union board. DeMaio is nothing more than a Republican pawn who is here as a union buster. Like Aguirre, he shouts half truths from the mount. That will be his undoing, just as it was Aguirre's. The irony of the whole thing is that he made his millions from government contracts, yet he screams about those who have made a tenth what he's made. I'm a pretty strong first amendment supporter, but some fights just aren't worth fighting. A SDPD sergeant had to defend herself legally after she spoke at a local city council meeting. She identified herself as a "police sergeant" to give folks a basis to judge her comments by. She did NOT tell from what agency. The city disciplined her for that act. Of course, I guess I could let Charles LeMandri defend me. If I was willing to let him in the same room with me voluntarily...— February 27, 2009 3:55 p.m.

Can you name one time I have done what you posted above??? No, never. Now relax. ============================== Can you show me where I said you did? As I said, "I really don't care what name Johnny uses, so long as he isn't using multiple names to try to support his one position." I was simply pointing out that your multiple names are the same person for the un-initiated. By the way... I'm still waiting for that anti-nepotism consent decree link. Or a statement that the claim you made regarding it was false.— February 27, 2009 3:37 p.m.
