Pecan pie is delicious. My personal preference was for my dad's recipe. Potato salad I could do without, but to each his/her own.— April 18, 2015 6:41 a.m.
Order in the court, Judge Bencivengo!
Big gas line blast today in Fresno http://news.yahoo.com/gas-line-explosion-closes-c… It will be interesting if this gets handled differently in the post-Peevey PUC era.— April 17, 2015 8:10 p.m.
Order in the court, Judge Bencivengo!
The judge sits on her behind (even worse joke)— April 17, 2015 8:09 p.m.

Twister, as I posted above I think your numbers may have a typo. As I see it, 150 gallons/day/person X 365 days/year X 330,000 people = 18,067,500,000 gallons/year ~ 18 Billion (with a B not a T) gallons / year— April 16, 2015 2:28 p.m.

I get 150 gallon / day / capita X 365 days / year X 330,000 people = 18,067,500,000 gallons / year ~ 18 Billion (with a B not a T) gallons / year— April 16, 2015 9:27 a.m.

There's been recent movements to split the state of CA. I think Jefferson was one of the proposed states in one of the proposed splits.— April 15, 2015 9:54 p.m.

As nutty (hardy har har) as it sounds the Resnick's influence apparently even goes so far as our Middle East policy. Seems Iran's pistachios are highly prized - so pistachio sanctions against Iran helps Beverly Hills pistachio farmers.— April 15, 2015 5:25 p.m.
Hedge fund wants Qualcomm to break up
Yeah MS has never been known for great software. Personally I think Office is a decent product - Windows has long been a bug-riddled mess of an OS compared to much more stable Unix, Linux, and Apple OS. But as you say MSFT's biggest skill was in marketing their products - and in particular bundling their products in ways which drove out competitors (e.g. Netscape) and somehow squeeked by antitrust regulators.— April 14, 2015 8:32 p.m.
