Qualcomm's Jacobs fishing for funds for Fletcher
It is funny beyond belief, enough to make me shudder, and well worth knowing. It's friggin amazeballs. Where but in Paradise Plundered would this kind of turnaround ever happen? Can anyone name a more astonishing disconnect?— September 6, 2013 5:54 p.m.
Did interim mayor Todd Gloria have the authority to rescind stop-use order for Jack in the Box?
Excellent report. Goldsmith has previously fought against the people of his country, his county, and his city, because of his ideological bent. Gloria's ideology is not obvious; the driving force for him is of another form.— August 31, 2013 4:43 p.m.
Filner issues a Stop-Use Order against North Park Jack in the Box. Todd Gloria rescinds.
The boy prince lusted so greatly for the throne of the King he had plotted to depose that he took the magic sword that the King left behind and stabbed himself. Fatal wound; the boy will never be king. Thanks, Mayor Filner. You did a good job and there are good things left for you to do in this world. Good luck and be well.— August 30, 2013 6:08 p.m.
Todd Gloria wields the ax, firing most of Filner staff
San Diego's Jewish community handles things well, too. http://www.sdjewishworld.com/category/publishers_…— August 30, 2013 5:49 p.m.
Todd Gloria wields the ax, firing most of Filner staff
You got only one thing correct: inane.— August 30, 2013 2:55 p.m.

Don, It's unusually hot and humid here, perhaps an excuse for the meanness from commenters. Don Bauder knows many things, and that's good enough. I apologize on behalf of the whole tormented, hateful city and the reality show participants who seem unwilling to let go of dishing out the sneers. Hope it's cool and not too rainy where you are.— August 30, 2013 2:46 p.m.
Hueso, Emerald reconfirm statements on DeMaio behavior
The most interesting aspect of the Voice of OC report relates to Jerry Sanders and Gerry Braun: "*a top aide to then-Mayor Jerry Sanders, a Republican, proposed in a September 2011 memo that political consultants exploit DeMaio being caught in “a self-gratifying sexual act in a City Hall restroom...during a council meeting.” But as his term was ending last year, Sanders endorsed DeMaio, then became president of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, a supporter of DeMaio policies*." Sanders may not have been the choice for that well-paying role he landed at the CoC, if he damaged DeMaio. The same might be considered for Tony Young's job at the Red Cross.— August 28, 2013 4:26 p.m.
DeMaio may change his mind, run for mayor
Don, If you can, you have to watch at least the beginning of Keith Olbermann's new ESPN show tonight. He talks at length about the media, albeit in the sports world, in a way that will give you solace. He's just great!— August 26, 2013 8:44 p.m.
City will indemnify resigning Filner, with some hedges
Good luck, Mayor Filner. You gave a good farewell. Write a book, please.— August 23, 2013 6:11 p.m.
DeMaio's men's room masturbation went unreported (updated 8/26)
BSP is talking about this: google "sex drive daily"— August 23, 2013 4:45 p.m.
