Graham Claims She Was "Spotless" in Florida. Hogwash!
Is the UT "successful" as one reader asserts ... tongue in cheek of course. Even my fish refuse to be wrapped in UT paper so I cancelled my subscription years ago.— May 24, 2010 10:10 a.m.

Lady Macbeth has a similar problem with spot and spotlessness.— May 24, 2010 10:08 a.m.
The Doctor Is In
Pardon, Doctor Peanut, I meant no insult by failing to address you by your correct title. My wise feline immediately noticed the error after I posted and gave a small hiss to warn me. She remains mum on her marital status but has revealed a taste for white anchovies. This could be a breathe issue in our humble chateau. Is there a feline breath freshener which the Doctor recommends ?— May 24, 2010 9:47 a.m.

When in doubt I have heard that the City Council asks the Oracle so gas does come in handy at times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delphi— May 23, 2010 10:04 p.m.

Sorry about the gas plume link. Maybe this one will work better. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20070618/…— May 23, 2010 10:02 p.m.

Has Mr. Peanut read the Widow Clicquot: the Story of a Champagne Empire while sipping a glass of this particular bubbly ? My cat wants to know. She is the animal version of the Widow who is described as a tycoon and somewhat of a tyrant. In fact my cat might be a widow but she won't tell me. Some personal information is better not shared - especially on blogs.— May 23, 2010 9:56 p.m.

Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch or Cherry Garcia should be part of the four basic food groups. Thrift stores (all are not created equal) are also sources for bygone and hard to find items. Once I found a Baccarat red crystal paperweight for under $5. This item would be over $100 retail. A sharp eye and persistence is the eye to bargains coming your way no matter what your budget is.— May 23, 2010 4:37 p.m.

Calimax and Gigante stores in Mexico have interesting food - whole tamarind pods for example and kitchen items you cannot find in the US. And those tiny chicklet gum packets. Of course it might not be worth the wait to enter Mexico these days. Lobster at Puerto Nuevo was also a deal. Thanks to the 9/11 bombers some will not cross the border due to the time it takes and the increased security. Calimax and Gigante were like 99 cents stores with more to offer. Pan dulce in so many shapes. Sigh.— May 23, 2010 4:17 p.m.
