Simple Oven-Barbecued Ribs
There was a dispute over which canned tomatoes to use. When I asked one of the gentleman, he indicated that he preferred Brand X because it was one that his mother used. He then asked the cashier if his sister from LA had bought all but the one remaining Brand X canned tomatoes. So there is a Tomato War among those in the know. I suggested that he buy them online by the case or have the store order them for him. Mona Lisa is a fun place for people watching. I keep expecting Tony Soprano to come in for supplies because he did cook too. It seems like a store that Dr. Peanut might frequent. Parking can be tight but it is worth the effort.— July 9, 2010 10:17 a.m.
Tentative Ruling: Sanders Must Give Deposition

Snorting could be judged offensive in a auditory sense for those who abstain from meat products. Sillier things have been removed for cause while other more offensive posts remain. It is all in the literary/legal taste buds of those who can delete.— July 9, 2010 8:38 a.m.

Mona Lisa deli next to the restaurant of the same name sells amazing motz. Very intense Italian cooks seem to patronize the store. I heard a heated discussion about canned tomato brands among 2 customers. The brands are not ones you will see at the local supermarkets but apparently are well known to these serious chefs. 99 cents will buy you a salami sammie with cheese on a good bun at noon. Be warned that these delights sell out early. The produce offered there is of a small but excellent quality. Disclaimer - I am not Italian but can cook. My theory has always been, " If you can read, then you can cook."— July 9, 2010 8:20 a.m.

I don't get the humor mentioned by another blogger who lost her virginity to a pork product. Hormel might sue. This should be examined. What is funny "acceptable" about the stand up 5150 comic that was not funny "acceptable" about the Admin pulled post ? I am not seeing a difference. Please explain. Pentagrams of female monthly blood also seem to be in very questionable taste in the same "acceptable" humor post.— July 8, 2010 10:43 p.m.

Would celery ribs work in place of pork ribs ? With a tangy BBQ sauce, refried beans, and some rice ? Those Hungry Man biscuits in the fun tins that you break open have always intrigued me. The piece de resistance would be the 100 year old dessert twinkies which will not cause a consumer to murder anyone and should not be confused with 100 year old eggs. A wine to accompany this feast might be a late 2009 red boxed variety or a light beer for those on a diet.— July 8, 2010 10:34 p.m.

A shout out to the water dog. Glad you enjoyed the wording. Is your book about dogs ? I may need to copyright the phrase or have your assurances that it will be used in an appropriate manner with all due respect to felines everywhere. As a disclaimer, I have been to Fiesta Island off leash fenced dog area on some occasions while dog sitting on small, lovable fur ball who, despite his good behavior, is not beloved by the two resident felines. They seek cover when he visits and have been know to hiss when he enters a room. But then I get that same hissing instinct when I read some entries on the SD Reader site.— July 7, 2010 9:48 a.m.
