Three shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three!

What a day!
What? You mean to say that a joke which delighted me as a teenager might not, strictly speaking, 'hold water?' Heretical thinking, to say the least. As for Paris, Texas, I have not seen this film. At first I thought you were talking about Dancer, Texas Pop. 81 and I was really failing to see how there was any sort of social theory at work therein. Never heard of Smithson, but I'll try to nullify my ignorance at some later juncture.— October 2, 2009 10:58 a.m.

It's a capitalization thing, SD, natch. We're all the same color (textual) in the virtual world. antigeekess and bell hooks seem to share a capital letter allergy.— October 2, 2009 12:59 a.m.

They were all right that the antigeekess (do you have a bell hooks thing going on there, AG?) is very beautiful. I feel I should weigh in here, since you were all apparently trying to set us up on the premise of Holy Hand Grenades ;)— October 2, 2009 12:20 a.m.

Everybody always wants to throw glass in stone houses and, sooner or later, someone's going to lose an eye!
Ah, "Author of the Quixote," I have read and enjoyed this enormously. Funny you should mention it, actually, I was going to throw up a little mention of that particular tale when everybody was climbing down thestoryteller's throat over fictionalizing that affair with Jacko. I thought it might go a long ways towards confusing people's ideas about fact v. fiction and the (in my opinion) bizarrely nebulous boundaries betwixt the two.— October 1, 2009 11:59 p.m.
