No. 6 Torrey Pines uses home court advantage to knock off No. 2 La Costa Canyon
In the two year history of the Fast Break have you covered a game with less than 100 total points?— February 2, 2010 8:45 p.m.
Santa Fe Christian sinks Army-Navy from beyond the arc
Are Dame Ndiaye of Hoover and Cheikh Ndiaye related? That might be an interesting profile piece.— February 2, 2010 6:29 p.m.
No. 1 Hoover dominates San Diego to stay perfect in section
Gotta love Hoover's mentality and I would love to see them represent the San Diego Section in the state playoffs. Hypothetically speaking, would Jeremy Tyler have made a net 31 points of difference in this game?— January 29, 2010 12:44 a.m.
No. 8 Poway uses big fourth quarter to drop Vista
The size advantage definitely helped Poway down the stretch. It's just like in football: If you pound the rock and go right at the other team they will be tired by game's end. Also 5 players in double figures is very impressive, sounds like a college stat line.— January 29, 2010 12:38 a.m.
Top 10 Poll (Jan. 24)
How would a Hoover LCC matchup go down?— January 25, 2010 3:15 p.m.
Bishop's beats LJCD in first of two battles for La Jolla
I admire Love's confidence. He's open about saying what he likes to do on the court, he acknowledges his size advantage, and he's not shy about his affinity for scoring. Seems like the kid has a good balance of knowing his abilities without being overly boastful. That's the kind of player that can set a good example of for his teammates.— January 21, 2010 1:25 p.m.
No. 9 Vista runs away from Rancho Bernardo
31-4! What a game to have been at. Scoring runs like that are very rare in league play of this level of competition. Kudos to Vista.— January 20, 2010 1:29 a.m.
Late Night Team Spirit
It's funny that you wrote about Saint Mary's and San Diego without mentioning the West Coast Conference. At the Saint Mary's-SDSU game, it would be hard to miss the banners of each WCC team hanging on the baseline of the McKeon Pavilion, as well as the WCC logos on the court. As for San Diego State, when you mention San Diego in the second to last paragraph without "State," it refers to the USD basketball team. You would not refer to the university in East Lansing as "Michigan." You know, the Spartans? The team that plays in the Big XII Conference?— November 20, 2009 12:48 p.m.
