You know, while The Reader and Don Bauder give us a great place to discuss current events, what we prove above all else is that No One Gives A S***, not in San Diego nor throughout America. Indeed, that’s the bottom line for American Democracy today, at least not until we really, really get ourselves into one hell of a lot of trouble. We have no one to blame but ourselves, because after all this is a Democracy, so now it is time to face the consequences of our own failures to accept responsibility and accountability. The first Democracy began as an attempt to prevent the rest of us from overthrowing the powers that be who were taking advantage of us in Athens BC. Yesterday Sanders decreed decimation of the police and fire departments’ public safety budgets. This is even after his criminally negligent acts of failed leadership during his 2007 firestorms where he failed to coordinate the fire resources we had at the time and directly caused excessive death and destruction as consequences. Instead of providing leadership, Sanders and other U-T Wolverine puppeticians held frequent photo-ops during the firestorms and thus committed high crimes and misdemeanors as documented in: “County had no voice in firestorm meetings” http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20080312… Sanders is most certainly taking Murphy’s “Worst Mayor In America” title to a new low thanks to our failed courts that continue to overrule Aguirre’s efforts to protect the public from U-T Wolverine puppeticians’ larceny with the consequential threats of out of control public safety failures we are experiencing due to budget failures they have created with their larceny. Great documentation of San Diego Corruption Politicians Inc. Don. This really should have been the cover story for this pre-election edition, with pictures of corrupt politicians and judges like Sanders and Goldsmith et al. displayed on old west style Wanted posters. Would have been nice to show Aguirre in contrast as the lone San Diego High Noon style Lawman who is out to rid San Diego of the corrupt Wolverine politicians and judges who have caused so much death and destruction already with no end in sight.— October 29, 2008 12:25 p.m.

Do you know anyone at TIME who is willing to update their "America's Worst Mayor" feature article on Murphy to include Sanders? Or maybe Erie can release his book before Nov 4, or the Reader can save us with some Special Edition on the Consequences of U-T Establishment Corruption. Response to post #13: Along the lines of everything we are discussing about the consequences of failed economic policy we were reminded of another extremely important warning by President Eisenhower that Calbreath quoted in his column Sunday: “Every dollar spent by the government must be paid for either by taxes or by more borrowing with greater debt --- The only way to make more tax cuts now is to have bigger and bigger deficits and to borrow more and more money. Either we or our children will have to bear the burden of this debt. This is one kind of chicken that always comes home to roost. An unwise tax cutter, my fellow citizens, is no real friend of the taxpayer.” One more time, in addition to his 1961 Military-Industrial Complex Farewell Address, Ike warned America but his own republican party (including the U-T) marginalized Ike’s grave warnings for half a century now, covering up the negative consequences with never ending hate propaganda even during the most current McCain campaign yesterday. It’s like we are living through some bizarre lesson from PoliSci and Economics history books over and over again that we never learn from, except the hard way with the current crashing and burning of the San Diego, California, American and World economies.— October 27, 2008 12:51 a.m.

Response to post #8: Actually it's time for TIME magazine to update their List of America's Worst Mayors to add Sanders to Murphy as the two worst leadership failures in San Diego history. We must find a way to replace Sanders with someone who has demonstrated competent business leadership skills ASAP as the San Diego City Employees' Retirement System disaster not only spins further out of control but is starting to cause the collapse of vital City services.— October 26, 2008 2:03 p.m.

The republicans are experts at exploiting the entire spectrum of social brainwashing from fear to racial hatred to achieve their paramount priority of control through corrupt politicians and judges in Washington as well of San Diego that have allowed them to overrule American Democracy and commit larceny against all citizens who are not members of their autocracy of extreme power and wealth. Thus the GOP never hesitates to use their most successful strategy of “Divide and Conquer Propaganda" using whatever method of electorate exploitation they need to maintain dominance depending on demographics, whether they use race against race like McCain’s latest exploitation of KKK populations that have never changed, religion against religion, socioeconomic group against socioeconomic group, whatever it takes to perpetuate political and economic domination by their ruling aristocracy with impunity regardless of consequences such as firestorms in San Diego, and out of control poverty and violence throughout America. The worst-case scenario of a failed newspaper is that the Copley U-T Editorial Board is still practicing the politics of fear and racial hatred against Aguirre today like Copley did for decades after the Holocaust with their “Gentleman’s Agreement” in La Jolla. Much worse than that though is the fact that in these final days of the 2008 Election the GOP is playing all their fear and racial hatred cards against Obama as their last desperate acts of a failed political party that has betrayed all Americans and American Democracy for eight years now. The future of San Diego and America is most certainly in the hands of the youngest voter generations who have one more chance to get out and vote to bring an end to fear and racial hatred politics at last.— October 26, 2008 12:33 a.m.
