You misunderstood me Don, the "strong mayor experiment" MUST BE ENDED TODAY TO SAVE LIVES, HEALTH AND SAN DIEGO FROM FURTHER DESTRUCTION BY MAYOR SANDERS AND SAN DIEGO REPUBLICAN PARTY BETRAYALS. Don, too bad about the League of Women Voters' betrayal of San Diego voters. I once respected them greatly, and didn't realize SDLWV had gone Neocon on us. But then their former President Susan Davis has failed to represent We The People so incompetently she might as well be a card carrying Neocon because she has watched and done nothing for a decade while Neocons have literally committed treason against American Democracy, our Military Heroes and Patriots, and our economy. Again, my arguments against the Strong Mayor concept in general, and Sanders specifically: "Strong Mayor” Sanders has proven beyond all doubt that he is worst case scenario example of why San Diego must never elect another strong Mayor. Some of “Strong Mayor” Sanders more outrageous acts of criminal negligence, corruption and incompetence that threaten all children and families in San Diego include: o 2007 Firestorms killed far too many innocent people and destroyed far too much property due to Sanders’ refusal to provide adequate resources after lessons learned from the 2003 Murphy Firestorms, and his failures in leadership to coordinate firefighting resources with other California and Federal firefighting agencies. However he did create every possible opportunity to be on TV during the firestorms. o Sanders caused San Diego's drinking water to become the 9th worst among the 100 largest U.S. cities as reported by you, making San Diego water virtually unsafe for human consumption. o Continuing decimation of firefighting, and other public safety and health resources while enriching his personal fortune, and those of other San Diego Republican Party special interests and leaders at the expense of all San Diego taxpayers causing deficits go further out of control to the point where public safety and health are ever more gravely threatened for all San Diego families farther and farther into the future as long as his deficits remain out of control. It is a shame that SDLWV has gone Neocon on us and betrayed Democracy just like the San Diego Republican Establishment has been doing for far too long. Response to post #10: "If San Diego dumped the job of mayor, who would be in charge?" Gee Don, is this really a question that needs to be asked? NO MAYOR AT ALL has got to be better than Golding > Murphy > Sanders who have created Enron by the Sea, Firestorm holocausts, and Draconian public safety and service cuts that threaten the lives and health of every child and family in San Diego. Let the City Council take over, a group of 8 councilpersons cannot possibly govern any worse than "Strong Mayor" Nero/Sewerwater Sanders. It's time we demanded that the 8 City Council persons perform a Bauder Boycott against Sanders and ignore him completely. This mornings U-T reported that "Nero" Sanders is decimating fire and public resources in San Diego so he can maintain his royal class retirements and add to his record for death and destruction throughout San Diego. Apparently Nero didn't immolate enough innocent children and families in San Diego with his 2007 Sanders Firestorm when he tried to outdo the 2003 Murphy Firestorm. Together, Murphy's 2003 Firestorm plus Sanders' 2007 Firestorm cost 22 innocent lives, and burned about 25% of the county including about 7000 structures. I can still remember Nero Sanders forcing out Chief Bowman because Bowman wanted to have enough firefighting equipment to save lives. Sanders latest hellacious cutbacks continue to prove that ruling class corruption still rules San Diego threatening never-ending losses of lives and property due to that corruption and greed.— January 27, 2010 11:25 a.m.

Actually your idea is a most excellent one Don, and the time is way overdue for all Americans to fight back against all entities that not only take advantage of the out of control SCOTUS that is overthrowing the Rule of Law as fast as they can get away with it, but also the Congress that is still overthrowing our Constitution even with democratic majorities, along with the firms that send armies of lobbyists to Washington, Sacramento and San Diego to overthrow the Will of We The People. So it's Fight Like Hell For We The People time Don, and your boycott is a major fight back mode we must use to end the era of disenfranchisement of the voters that has destroyed the effectiveness of our elections that have been controlled by Lobbyists for far too long. Washington has most certainly become the new Sodom and Gomorrah metaphor for immorality because of the Lobbyists that we have allowed to overthrow American Democracy. Response to post #12 & 17: chillblaine, while I agree with you and Don about the righteousness of a boycott, we must be very careful what we wish for because this most certainly presents us with a double edged sword in that we really must also boycott all the failed institutions that enabled the current betrayals of We The People to occur most egregiously over the last nine years. The reality is that all of our social, political and economic institutions have failed the basic tests of morality, starting with the failures to honor the imperatives represented by the 10 Commandments even by our religious institutions. I’m not trying to preach because I have no right to do so, and I am not a member of any religious group because of the institutional failures in morality that have enabled far too many American companies plus politicians, judges, academics and other supposed leaders of our society to betray We The People for far too long. So how many entities do we really need to boycott to reverse the destructive consequences of all the institutional failures in integrity that have enabled all the “abusive practices” that Don investigates and reports to us continuously?— January 26, 2010 3:23 a.m.

In fact if they and their lobbyists owners were transported back in time they would have carried out the crucifiction for Pontius Pilate, while the congressional democrats would have watched and done nothing to prevent it.
