September SD Unemployment Stays at 10.6%
Say Goodbye to the Land of Opportunity Don, unemployment has become the new way of life in America because corruption, such as all the kinds you keep reporting ad infinitum, has finally destroyed the American Dream. All of our institutions are corrupt whether it be political, judicial, business, banks, newspapers, TV, health, religious, universities, etc., there simply is no institution left to save us from the most destructive greed in history. And now that our politicians have failed to take care of our military Heroes and Patriots who gave their lives and bodies to protect us, we shall most certainly fail the same way as the Roman Empire.— October 22, 2010 1:26 p.m.
Sanders's "Frighten 'Em" Prop. D Scam
Response to post #66: Apparently Rizzo was supposed to fill in for Sanders at the last two meetings because no one would notice the difference between him and Sanders, but Rizzo's ankle alarm keeps going off when he gets too close to the border. Hopefully Sanders will have to share a cell with Rizzo and/or wear and ankle bracelet someday soon himself.— October 22, 2010 10:58 a.m.
Sanders's "Frighten 'Em" Prop. D Scam
Response to posts #s 58: Don, why do the majority of San Diego voters keep proving that they are brain-dead stupid by allowing themselves to be influenced by corrupt political ads and U-T editorials that have bankrupted San Diego? The fact is that San Diego politicians are no better than City of Bell politicians that used to prey on voters there, except that San Diegans have allowed three Mayors (Golding, Murphy and Sanders) and their councils to bankrupt San Diego with no end in sight. No one seems to notice that Sanders is exactly like Rizzo in every way possible, yet the majority of voters in San Diego continue to idolize Sanders because the U-T tells them to.— October 22, 2010 4:41 a.m.
Mayor a No-Show at Second Community Forum
The majority of San Diegans voted against Democracy when they voted to perpetuate strong mayor rule. Then the continuation of the crashing and burning of San Diego by Strong Mayor Sanders forced him to admit the consequences of his never-ending criminal corruption by producing Prop D. The surprise was that Donna Frye accepted the role of Flimflam Sanders’ marionette which proved that it didn’t matter whether we have a strong mayor or not. The fact is that the San Diego City Council shall remain San Diego’s worst nightmare as long as the electorate continues to idolize corrupt Mayors like Golding, Murphy and now Sanders who continues to turn San Diego into America’s worst political cesspool.— October 20, 2010 12:13 p.m.
For-Profit College Stocks, Including Bridgepoint, Walloped
Response to post #2: Don, your statement is most inspiring, and your dedication to truth and integrity in journalism makes you a role model in all categories of American citizenship. Relative to UC and for-profit colleges, Wikipedia exposed the following fact about Mr. Feinstein-Blum: "In 2009 the University of California Board of Regents, of which Blum is a member, voted to increase student registration fees (roughly the Univ. of California equivalent of tuition) by 32%. Shortly thereafter, Blum Capital Partners purchased additional stock in ITT Tech, a for-profit educational institution. These events suggest a conflict of interest on Blum's part." Relative to UC and "Potentially Biased Oil Research Contracts" BP was the final sellout of what may have been left of UC integrity, by the current Secretary of Energy Chu no less, while he was still perpetuating hydrogen bombs for profit instead of producing controlled fusion to save the human race from global warming. No President in history was more correct in predicting the total corruption of UC when he said: "The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded." in his 1961 Farewell Address. Humanity will pay a totally unacceptable price for the corruption of UC. Keep up the heat on corruption Don, there is no one better. Thank You.— October 19, 2010 4:10 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
“San Diegans for Accountability at City Hall” is more appropriately known as “Elitists Who Want to Overthrow Democracy in San Diego” by perpetuating their rule with their personal Strong Mayor-Puppet like Sanders. Sanders has been a disaster who keeps proving they want to perpetuate out of control destruction of San Diego by cutting funds to public health, fire and police safety, education, etc. to throw San Diego into chaos by overthrowing Democracy and the Rule of Law so they can continue commit larceny of public funds with impunity. Thus Sanders has earned nicknames such as "Nero", "Typhoid Jerry" and "Il Duce II" The San Diego League of Women Voters has a longer list: http://www.lwvsandiego.org/— May 28, 2010 2:21 p.m.
Neurocrine Zooms as Rest of Market Wilts
Response to post #3: This is a whole new stock market, and your guess may be better than most, but the GOP betrayed America during the Bush administration worse than the South during the Civil War and worse than the Tories during the Revolution. Interestingly the South proved they have risen again by controlling the GOP during the last three Presidential elections, and the return of the Tories is led by Rupert Murdoch with his control of WSJ, Fox, etc. So America today is in Neocon transition that may take us straight to hell on earth as long as the GOP is allowed to continue to betray America with SCOTUS impunity, using the power of hate to control the minds of republican voters. I just hope your pessimism is the least of our problems.— May 25, 2010 1:13 p.m.
Neurocrine Zooms as Rest of Market Wilts
Re: "U.S. stock are down more than 2% this morning following big selloffs in Europe and Asia." Or, another way to put it, the stock market giveth, and the stock market taketh away, depending on how the greediest can make money the fastest. Now that executives can give themselves a $Billion a year, there is no limit. Thus the republican party elite are destroying American Capitalist Democracy as fast as they can so their aristocracy can takeover everything, whatever is left after chaos dies down that is.— May 25, 2010 7:52 a.m.
Economists Exult over Job Gains. Be Wary
Don, if you can find some spare time, you might create a new edition of "How to Lie with Statistics" or "Damned Lies and Statistics" and/or "How to Lie with Charts" or "How to Smell a Rat, Five Signs of Financial Fraud." Or write your own book on "Larceny, San Diego Style" which would fill volumes.— May 7, 2010 11:57 a.m.
Stocks Crash in Panic Selling, Volatility
Thanks for the Great News Don: "U.S. will have to bail out California." Or to put it another way, it means that corrupt and incompetent politicians in Washington, where they can print money, will now subsidize corrupt and incompetent politicians in California, and The Establishment in San Diego can continue destroying our public safety and health resources so they can maintain their standard of larceny. This means that the Spirit of Duke Cunningham will continue to live on in San Diego via the likes of "Nero"/Typhoid Sanders and our "To Hell With the Rule of Law" judicial system.— May 6, 2010 1:38 p.m.
