Response to post #59: Interesting how mankind has not really made any progress in over 26 centuries since Athens had problems such as "The poor, finding their status worsened with each year---the government in the hands of their masters, and the corrupt courts deciding every issue against them" which defines the same basic problems we have today. Thus politicians and their "masters" in Washington and San Diego are accelerating the growth of the poverty class again today due to failures of both political parties as exposed 24/7 by media coverage of the presidential follies while rule of law, education and opportunities die before our eyes. Which makes it interesting to read your history in progress columns like "Brash Cash" and "Bloodsuckers" that continue to expose the newest iteration of "masters," "corrupt courts," and government failures that are producing the out of control escalation of the "poor" once again.— April 7, 2008 3:18 a.m.

Don, let me quote something I hope you find of interest from “The Lessons of History” by Will and Ariel Durant: ‘In the Athens of 594 B.C., according to Plutarch, “the disparity of fortune between the rich and the poor had reached its height, so that the city seemed to be in a dangerous condition, and no other means for freeing it from disturbances . . . seemed possible but despotic power.” The poor, finding their status worsened with each year---the government in the hands of their masters, and the corrupt courts deciding every issue against them---began to talk of violent revolt. The rich, angry at the challenge to their property, prepared to defend themselves by force. Good sense prevailed; moderate elements secured the election of Solon, a businessman of aristocratic lineage, to the supreme archonship. He devaluated the currency, thereby easing the burden of all debtors (though he himself was a creditor); he reduced all personal debts, and ended imprisonment for debt; he canceled arrears for taxes and mortgage interest; he established a graduated income tax that made the rich pay at a rate twelve times that required of the poor; he reorganized the courts on a more popular basis; and he arranged that the sons of those who died in war for Athens should be brought up and educated at government’s expense. Response to post #43 and 46: JF and Don, yup, Washington and San Diego politicians, judges and Davies type bloodsuckers are so out of control with corruption as you have reported in hundreds of investigative reports such as “Brash Cash” that even our socalled consumer advocate lawyers are beholden to the point where Shames can’t support Aguirre because his quid pro quo to the bloodsuckers was to give them the court approved kickback of $80 Million stolen from the residential sewer/water ratepayers. There can be no other explanation, and all your investigative reports point to that conclusion. And as you well know, I consider Yoo a traitor to Humanity for overthrowing the Constitution for his masters in the White House. Response to post #19: The bottom line as you keep documenting Don is that San Diego is drowning in a sea of bloodsuckers, and until Shames commits himself loud and clear joining Aguirre’s fight for San Diego against the bloodsucker class we cannot trust him. And it goes without saying that Washington is the Home of the Bloodsuckers, yesterday the U-T published an AP article “Lawmakers heavily investing in defense companies” to carry on the federal government bloodsucking tradition that Ike gravely warned us about the M-I complex in 1961. So all three executive, judicial and legislative branches in Washington and San Diego are dominated by the bloodsucker class that has been destroying democracies since the days of ancient Greece when democracy was first established.— April 5, 2008 1:22 a.m.

Response to post #2: Don, San Diego cannot even begin to recover until either BK is forced upon us or we do something about our judges who keep protecting their bloodsucking culture of corruption from Aguirre. Far too many San Diego judges and lawyers keep proving that Bloodsucking is a cultural value, like Murphy, Goldsmith, Lerach, and even our “consumer advocate” Shames who let the bloodsucking class water/sewer ratepayers keep $80 Million in underpayments at the expense of overcharged residential ratepayers while using “business as usual” judicially legalized fraud to steal $5 Million from the residential ratepayers himself.— April 4, 2008 11:28 a.m.

Response to post #46: Don, you are correct, SDG&E has some of the most dedicated employees anywhere, dedicated to providing the highest quality electric service at the lowest cost. When the 2000 San Diego energy crisis hit I felt betrayed by our Bloodsucking executives who screwed everything up so badly, including the lawyer who bloodsucked his way to the top. But then Gov. Davis and the CPUC made it too easy for the bloodsuckers to screw San Diego, and while Davis is history, Michael Peevey who was former SCE CEO still runs the CPUC as the king of the bloodsuckers who have always been running California into the ground.— April 4, 2008 3:25 a.m.

Response to post #18: I hate to be skeptical Don, but the reality is that until we really see a change actually happen, everyone in Washington is a Bloodsucker. Bill Clinton was/is a Bloodsucker, not as much as Bush-Cheney who are in a class by themselves at a whole new level, but Clintons are Bloodsuckers nevertheless. Maybe Obama can lead us out of the Bloodsucker era, but the Congress will have to literally change the course of history to support any efforts he makes because Lobbyists Rule and Ike is still right about his 1961 Farewell Address after almost 50 years. If we don't restore Rule of Law and build an education system throughout America so everyone has equal opportunities then American Democracy shall remain in peril to fail like so many before ours. The fact that 21st century America is a long time from 6th century B.C. is irrelevant, Bloodsuckers are the same today as they have always been and can still destroy even the newest governments.— April 4, 2008 3:06 a.m.
