Delectable oysters, encased in a light pastry puff. Pops right in your mouth for a tasty and easy appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup butter or margerine
- 1 cup Flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup Oysters ( fresh, frozen or canned)
- cocktail sauce
- lemons
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Heat water and margarine to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in flour and salt. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball (about 1 minute) and then remove from heat. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and continue beating until smooth. Stir in oysters. Drop dough (including an oyster in each) using a slightly rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until puffed and golden, about 25 minutes. Serve hot as appetizers with cocktail sauce and lemon.
