Buffy's Salsa Chili

Being of Italian decent I thought I would try something Mexican which is similar in taste and spice. Good for Sunday afternoons when friends drop by. I have only tried this recipe twice and it was a hit. As they always say Try It you'll Like It so ENJOY.


  • 1 lb Chicken breast boneless & skinless
  • 1 cup garbanzo beans 10oz can
  • 1 cup spicy black beans 15oz can
  • 1 cup chili beans 15oz can
  • 1 cup mexican style stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup your favorite salsa
  • 2 pinchs chili powder to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup green onions


1. in a large pot boil chicken breast until tender about 20 minutes
cool and then shred chicken
2. in a dutch oven mix chicken, 3 types of beans, tomatoes and salsa
serve to taste with chili powder
3. simmer chili for 1 hour. top with shredded cheese, sour cream and green onions. serve with tortilla chips
