Let me start off by saying I did not vote for Mr. Filner.... I do believe he had the right to face he accusers under oath in a Court of Law....

No more "Innocent until proven guilty" in our Country.

He did absolutely nothing wrong, at least as Mayor. Years ago in Washington he did sexually harrass a whole lot of people, and they are coming forward now. Everything else has been a lie and a distortion. Don Bauder discovered the wiretap the Mafia had on the Mayor's Office, but cannot "prove" it without getting his legs broken, of course. Same is standard procedure. The MOB will make something up, harass you and the public in the news media for weeks, bug your office, and then will hire paid witnesses who never met you, present fake evidence in court, rig the judge and jury, make a deal with your lawyer, and take you apart. All so their real estate grows in value more quickly.

Yep. Its just Doug Manchester and the JITB guy looking to get duplicitous weasels like Gloria put in office to green light their corrupt and self-serving agendas and do what they have to do to get people like Filner that stood up to them out of the way. Just more typically dirty politics in San Diego. Ho hum

Mayor Filner is the only one that has stood up to special (BIG MONEY) interests, now Todd Gloria will take every penny they offer because he loves BIg Business and their donations!

Big Development is working overtime trying to take over $an Diego and anyone that thinks differently, is either not paying attention, part of the problem (NIMBY) or is politically naive.

There are Billions to be made all at the taxpayers expense, so expect to see many millions being passed out to gain political influence as the City is bought, *lock, stock and barrel.

Gloria didn't waste any time getting his mug on every TV newscast today "touring" the city. Looks like he's getting a head start on campaigning for mayor, even before he makes an official announcement.

Ugly business all the way around. Filner acting like a horny teenager... Gloria Allred showing up... Women coming forward after years and years of saying nothing... the lynch mob hysteria.

Lots to be embarrassed about, San Diego.

I agree with the individual " Founder" above. Filner was the ONLY one to challenge BIG MONEY in this CROOKED CITY...and he also figured out that our Police Dept should actually be out there doing things that are MEANINGFUL...besides busting up MED SHOPS ! I also would like to see more SO-CALLED victims ....from any of the other "49" states that are in this country. Kinda ODD that this former FREEDOM RIDER....who worked in our Nations Capital and our City for IONS....traveled the world over , but all these Classless women are from San Diego. Gimme a Break. And if any of these women ever gave speeches to victims of assault in the past. And stressed anything about "Reporting your Assailant" immediately. In my book they would be CROOKS ...HYPOCRITES....and LIARS. Right along with that Money Hungry....Fame Needy...Anyone can Jump on the Bandwagon...."GlorIa Allred!" I'm all for Pro-Women Rights. But I have NEVER...been down for LIARS !

Easy to call names and make assumptions from your PC, isnt it? So you think Donna Frye, staunch Liberal Democrat, was in on the "lynching"? You think all those women were lying, and are crooks and hypocrites, without having ever met them or been there to witness their claims? You just stand by your party, even though they are the ones routinely abusing and harassing women? Filner, Clinton, Weiner, Spitzer, Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy, all democrats, all serial harassers. If even half those women are telling the truth, it displayed a horrible lack of judgement on Filner's behalf, and you cannot have a mayor with poor judgement.

And by the way, I read your letter in regards to minimum wage. It was so biased, full of holes and hypocrisy as to be laughable, if it wasnt so sad... you truly believe the tripe coming from your mouth?! You showed the whole city your complete lack of economic understanding and partisanship. You are just another sock puppet for the left. If raising the minimum wage worked, why havent we just raised it to $20 an hour? Or $100 an hour? You cant legislate wealth, and a employee producing $5 an hour of product is not going to get hired for $20 an hour. Why dont we just raise the minimum wage in poor countries too? Explain that, "economics professor"...instead of just bashing another reader with your doublespeak. That writer was correct, fast food jobs are not career choices. If you want to raise a family in SD and work fast food, you better be the manager or area manager, not the drive thru employee.
