Great Wow/Trinitea Tea
Great Wow’s spare but welcoming space brings handmade Chinese dumplings to Hillcrest — you may watch them being folded up by hand through a window along the back wall. Great Wow shares a space with the Trinitea boba counter.
With bubble tea (pan-Asian milk tea dotted with tapioca pearls) mostly akin to any other boba shop, Trinitea Hillcrest separates itself from the masses by lining the interior walls with Mexican paintings that imitate the general style of Thomas Kinkade, The Painter of Light. Milk tea is better when consumed beneath the glorious visions of pastoral life hanging from the walls. It’s like the Albie’s of sugary drinks.
