From the same pedigree as North County's Blue Ribbon Pizza and the Craftsman Tavern, SE is a wedge-shaped barroom with a big emphasis on extended happy hours, socializing over cocktails, and small plates of food. Less a destination, and more of a hangout, make sure to try a Negroni in the Rye, and maybe some of the charred octopus, short rib ravioli, and the very good butterscotch pudding.
