Roberto DePhillippis Steakhouse has been a Chula Vista institution since 1968. Best known for having “The best prime rib in America”, Nebraska corn-fed beef and leggy waitresses. “The dining room is a cavern of gilt and red leather, with cushioned booths, chandeliers and rows of French wine bottles”.
The Restaurant is famed on both sides of the border for its Cattleman Cut of Prime Rib as well as a big assortment of steaks and veal dishes.
Trademarks of the restaurant include walls lined with celebrity photos and wine bottles that rim the booths in the restaurant.
Roberto DePhillippis Steakhouse is one of the only steakhouses in San Diego where you get generous steak portions and all the sides for a single price. The bar also serves 1.5 oz. per glass instead of the usual 1 oz. drink.
