Point Loma Seafoods
2805 Emerson Street, San Diego, CA 92106
An eatery and seafood market open since 1963, Point Loma Seafoods is hallowed for its delicious yet Spartan sandwiches of breaded (not battered) fish and tartar sauce on sourdough. In 2012 they "demolished their existing building and replaced it with a new building designed in the Monterey, California, Cannery Row style." More space has been set aside for the outdoor dining area, which now includes a fire pit. In addition to an update on the kitchen, a second-story viewing terrace offers views of San Diego Bay, Shelter Island, and the ocean.

A San Diego favorite. More than just seafood. The BEST seafood. Hands down, better than any. Great meals, chowders, sandwiches, fresh and smoked items, and a sushi chef at the ready. A tuna sandwich is my #1. The number system confuses first time guests, but once you get it - YOU GET IT!
If you like really boring, bland, pedestrian food, this is the place for you.
