Pizza Port & Bottle Shop

571 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008

Also 135 North Coast Highway 101, Solana Beach, 858-481-7332. Pizza Port brews their own beer (try Sharkbite Red) and flings their own pizzas, New York style. Filling combos can be great, like the Pizza Carlsbad or the Pizza Solana. Inexpensive.

Restaurant Menu

This place was really HOT. I mean the temperature of the place was at least 90 degrees. We really enjoyed the beer, they have quite a few on tap and they will even let you try a few to find one that suits your taste. The menu is limited to pizza, salads, bread sticks, and wings. As far as the selections for pizza toppings go, they have a great selection. Don't wear your nice clothes as the picnic tables are not perfectly smooth and you can easily get snagged on a nail. The TV was nice to watch the game on, but the glare from the sun made it difficult to see at times. They have a few video games, but just a handful. Mostly blocked by people waiting for their pizza. We will return on our next visit, but we will make sure it is cooler when we go.

Hands down, the best pizza in North County. Lively atmosphere and one of the few places in Carlsbad Village with a pulse after 9pm (sad as that is). Salads are a bit lacking, but you're there for the pie. Beer menu is amazing. Dozens of fresh ones. Speedy semi-self service. No nonsense vibe and surf videos on TV. The overheated grandma who wrote the review above should've gone over the Fidel's and overpaid for mexican "cuisine." Ha!
