Lotus Thai
3761 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103
Also 906 Market Street, East Village, 619-595-0115. The chefs are from northwest Thailand, and something in their cooking hints of their region — a zestiness, a love of strong citruses and herbs — evokes the Ping River and the hills of Chiang Mai.

When we used to live in Hillcrest we would get delivery from Lotus Thai all the time. Now that we live in South Park, it's been awhile since we had the pleasure. Last night we did a pick-up order of all our old faves: crab-fried rice, eggplant, green curry, red curry, vegetables, and pad thai. It was even better than I remember it! If you're craving Thai food, Lotus Thai should be the first place you call on ~ you won't be disappointed!
