If you've been to Centre City Cafe, it's the same thing! So good to be in a place that's like home. Friendly people and the atmosphere is great. Kid friendly too. The menu has everything you want and more. The food is huge, they had to put the side dishes on their own plates. Very affordable and you won't go away hungry. Bring family and friends, they have enough room.

Saturday was the 2nd time in a row that we have visited this restaurant with the very same results. Almost like Deju Vu. We were seated. Busboy brought water. Ordered drinks. Two of us got our drinks in an acceptable amount of time. We had to ask 3 times over a 10-15 minute time frame to get the coffee for the 3rd person. We watched as several tables came in after us. got their food and left. Asked twice if there was a problem. 3rd querie at 45 minutes in. Told it "should" be about 5 more minutes. After 10 minutes we walked out. Different waitress than the first time this happened to us at this place but the same problem....neither one of them had put our order in. This restaurant is extremely noisy...very very loud. Not pleasant at all. It is obvious the people only go there because the portions are enormous. Very unhealthy. We go to lunch every Saturday anywhere from Alphine to Encinitas and all points in between. We won't return to Lake Murray Cafe.

I used to love this restaurant. It has very generous portions, easily enough to share. However, the last two times I have gone there, I had to wait an hour to be served. Unacceptable.

Another dissatisfied customer

About those dinner rolls... Ordered two dozen for Thanksgiving and picked them up Thanksgiving morning. They were all stale and tasteless two hours later. Nobody at the table of 18 guests ate one. Went back to get a refund on Friday. They said they can't find a way to give a refund!?!?!? Oh, and they admitted they had too many orders so they made them up and bagged them days before. They’ve lost my business, my family’s business and anyone else I can share this with forever. We live about a half mile away, we were customers at least twice a week. But there are a lot of restaurants and customer service drives my dollar.
