This sushi/Japanese restaurant may be the best sushi bar in the South Bay, located in a retail area where Chula Vista/Bonita/National City meets (kind of; from 805 get off on Sweetwater Rd. exit). I've been there many times, and surprising they have a lively business. The sushi prices are ok, just a bit below what you'd pay downtown, but the quality is just as high, and the variety is there. And if it's classic Japanese fare you want, the portions are quite generous, evidenced by the dinner bowl of soba noodles I had one night and the teriyaki chicken on another. The staff is very friendly, as EVERYONE yells thank you/good bye to everyone as they leave. This restaurant has earned their chops; albeit quietly. Definitely worth a visit on your travels below Interstate 8.
