Best place to go on a Saturday/Sunday morning, particularly if you had your heart set on The Mission, but are too hungry to bear the 1 1/2 hour wait. Here, you will be seated immediately upon your arrival, followed by the taking of your order and prompt delivery of your food. There is always seating available on the second floor, a sunny, roof deck perfect for breakfast or brunch dining. Breakfast menu offers a vast choosing of typical breakfast plates (eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc.), all for reasonable prices.

Menu suggestions: Try the orange juice, breakfast fruit platter, and any omelet as long as you ask for it to come with jalapenos.

Sometimes there's a wait, but it's well worth it. I'm a fan of the quality breakfast eats, mimosas, and of course, the fresh air and view from the upstairs patio. This is definitely a favorite spot for me and my friends for the morning after a big night out.

Generous portions, great service, enjoy taking guests there.

A favorite place for any occasion but my out of town guests always have this on their "must do" list, too!

Food is great. Love the omelets. Upstairs outside deck on a sunny day is delightful. There service is quick.

sassisquirrel July 26, 2010 @ 10:41 a.m.

There's usually a wait on the weekends, but usually not more than 10-15 minutes. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. Portions are large, omelets can easily be shared.

candpsloan July 26, 2010 @ 11:37 a.m.

Great place for reasonably priced breakfast. Parking can be an adventure however,

ckoerner17 July 26, 2010 @ 3:47 p.m.

Great Food here and the Omelet Challenge is a lot more difficult than depicted on Man vs Food.

karashoe July 26, 2010 @ 3:51 p.m.

Not a better Hangover cure in PB than a late morning breakfast and mimosas on the deck.

rwardcorrigan July 26, 2010 @ 5:57 p.m.

The best place in San Diego for an AWESOME meal and an AWESOME staff!

lube4life July 26, 2010 @ 7:15 p.m.

Good food. Modest portions. Wait staff was stretched/understaffed resulting in sub-par service. I had to walk back to the lunch counter with my coffee cup to ask for a refill - staff behind the counter looked pained and filled my cup.

Great food & great prices! Parking can be challenging.

Broken Yolk has an extensive menu which is fustrating sometimes because it makes it very hard to choose what you want. Your eyes just go back and forth flipping through pages of this giant egg shaped menu. There is nothing special about their food. Majority of the food can be cooked at home which ends up tasting better and costing you a lot less. The inside is very crowded, stuffy, and the noise becomes overwhelming. Although the patio outside is amazing. They do not have enough people working there which makes the service a little slow. If you just want some decent food and service Broken Yolk is the place to go.
