Hobnob: “In most cases, being a transgendered person of color would not keep this person from feeling welcomed and safe here in Carlsbad. Unfortunately, she is poor, as evidenced by her decision to wear last season’s coat style and a houndstooth scarf that simply doesn’t belong in the upper classes. So she has to stay away. It’s not bigoted, it’s just good taste.”
