SDG&E helped sponsor mayor Kevin Faulconer’s Balboa Theatre appearance in January. The corporation has also sought an audience with Faulconer, lobbying him (and city-council members) in an attempt to quash plans to eliminate SDG&E’s power-distribution monopoly.
