Reo Vista Nurses home’s food was shockingly good! Their soups were off the hook! They have bedside service and a dining room, but you need to make a reservation.
Lucha Libre in Mission Hills...prices are decent & their salsa bar is amazing....
Morinos in Ingram and Garnet they don’t open till four but oh my gosh the best Italian food the best pizza even better than Filippi’s.
New York & Co. was way better than I expected. New York on Rye on Miramar is too. Haven’t been there, but I hear good things about New York Joe’s and New York New York Pizza.
Cucina Italiana in the Clairemont Square. It just looks like a little nothing in the food court, but OMG, the food is amazeballs! The owner is there serving most nights, and he is great. Everything is from scratch, and his wine selection is nice.

Maggie’s in Serra Mesa for breakfast! Lucky’s, is a close 2nd in North Park.
Rana’s Mexico City Cuisine in Spring Valley.. Good fish tacos and great service. Margaritas are great too! Michael Degen: Giovanni’s on Balboa in Clairemont. The best pizza I’ve had in years and the service and prices are easy to deal with.
Rambertos, Adalbertos, and Soda and Swine
Don bravo in la jolla A little hole in the wall the best place in the entire world I go there every other day Tom Arthur: Ortega Pizza. Don’t pay attention to the pizza or the name. They have a good and authentic Mexican buffet.
Boomerangs Gourmet Burger Joint First time I went I was bummed it wasn’t an Aussie place. I guess if I’ve been going for 8 years solid it must have passed!
Loving the new pizzeria luigi renovation in golden hill.
The Red Door in Mission Hills. Great for a date night
