I don't. And, I think legitimate hunters should have their rifles, but I see no legitimate purpose to a handgun but to shoot people. I'm a liberal -- well, "progressive" is a better word. I'm for the death penalty. But I think only cops should get guns.

I have a gun, yes. In the military the weapons are issued to you but kept in the armory and are only checked out for exercises or in deployment. It's not like we have them at the barracks. But I owned two guns before I was in the military. I had one for personal protection and using at the range. I went every few months. I don't see a problem with gun ownership if safety procedures are followed.

No, I've never owned one. I have no problem if people have guns, if there are legitimate reasons to have one, like family protection. If you live in certain areas, you might feel safer with one. I think the person should be licensed and abide by the law, though.
Randy Mitchell
From Mission Valley (Clerk)
Nah. I know there are all kinds of reasons people own them. Some people like to hunt. Others go out shooting at a range. Some people want them for protection. Maybe someday, if I felt the need to get one for protection or something, I might get one.

No, no, no. I'm too impulsive. I'd shoot people. I have no problem with other people owning them. They should be legal for people to possess them if they want.

No, I don't. I might get one someday. You never know. Right now I think there are too many guns. They cause too many problems. If they could take them all off the streets tomorrow, go for it.
