James Edward Calleran III

September 8, 1959 - February 27, 2017

"Jim" Edward Calleran, III, (57) died February 27, 2017, in San Diego, CA. Jim was born on September 8, 1959, in Norfolk, VA. In 1972 his family moved to Harrisonburg, VA, where he graduated from Harrisonburg High School, in 1976. He attended James Madison University and received his degree in Business Administration. Jim is survived by his parents, James E., Jr. and Saundra S. Calleran of North Chesterfield, VA; and three brothers and two sisters: Sean T. Calleran and his wife Susan L., and Mark H. Calleran and his wife Michelle of San Diego; S. Michael Calleran and his wife Laura of Manakin-Sabot, VA; Margaret C. Clark and her husband Clay of Harrisonburg, VA; and Carrie C. Rosenblatt and her husband Charles of Walnut Creek, CA; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his aunts: Julia Kidwell of Garner, NC; Mary Ann Collins and her husband Ed of Chesapeake, VA; and his uncles: Stephen H. Calleran and his wife Jeanne of Shrub Oak, NY, and James P. Googe, Jr of Memphis, TN; and his many cousins. Jim had a quick and sharp sense of humor, and always ready to engage in a lively debate of current events; especially football, as he was a lifelong, and ever optimistic, fan of the Washington Redskins. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Arrangements are private; no flowers please.
