Stereophonics
Founded in 1992, Welsh band Stereophonics achieved mainstream attention and praise in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like “Have a Nice Day” and “Dakota.” They’ve enjoyed consistent chart success, with multiple number one albums in the UK, and an evergreen presence on the outdoor festival circuit. Known for their anthemic alt-rock sound, frontman Kelly Jones’ gravelly vocals and storytelling lyrics provide insightful glimpses into Welsh working-class life, as well as musings on more universal themes of everyday life and shared human experiences. They’re touring in support of their thirteenth studio album, Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait, which topped the UK Albums chart in April.
