Mission Trails River Days Hike
To celebrate San Diego River Days, Mission Trails will host a guided hike showcasing the park’s history and ecology. This hike will follow the trail down to the grinding rocks area, which is covered with large boulders shaded by trees and located near the creek. The area gets its name from the holes in the rocks that Native Americans used to grind food.

Outlaw Music Festival
The Outlaw Music Festival kicks off on May 13 in Arizona and wraps up on September 19 in Wisconsin. And tomorrow, it's here in San Diego. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the festival boasts a lineup of Americana legends Willie Nelson & Family and Bob Dylan, who will perform at every show, along with superstars such as Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Avett Brothers, Wilco, Lake Street Dive, Lucinda Williams, and Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers.

The Cat Behind the Hat
Come explore and even acquire works from Dr. Seuss’s best-known children’s books, as well as The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss, a collection based on decades of artwork which Dr. Seuss created for his own pleasure. Throughout his lifetime, Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) created paintings and sculptures that he secreted away in an estate in La Jolla. A notable element of the collection are Seuss’s three-dimensional Unorthodox Taxidermy sculptures, with names such as “Carbonic Walrus”, “Two-Horned Drouberhannis”, and “Goo-Goo-Eyed Tasmanian Wolghast”.

Goldenpalooza
The Golden Hill art and music festival will have a wellness opener, henna, face painting, local musicians, performers, and art experiences such as: Palo Santo wood burning, suncatchers, rock painting, and bracelet making. Paint wheels with local artist Brittany John, make zines with local artist Alex Acosta, stop by for card making with local artist Jennifer Mays, and view live shirt printing by Prince of Prints. Participate in interactive art installations like community weaving and canvas painting.

Bankers Hill Walking Tour
The sloped terrain of Bankers Hill, a neighborhood featuring pedestrian bridges over canyons and views of San Diego Bay, was developed as a residential area by the city's first families and their architects. These city blocks are rich in the early 20th-century Modern architecture that Irving Gill pioneered and include the largest concentration of Gill homes built anywhere, on hidden Albatross Street.
