Tommy Castro & the Painkillers
Blues, R&B, and rock guitarist and singer Tommy Castro has been recording since the mid-1990s, earning widespread notice in 2008 when he won the Blues Music Award for Entertainer of the Year. With around two dozen full-lengths in his discography, several of his albums have become blues rock staples, such as A Bluesman Came To Town, Can't Keep A Good Man Down, and Hard Believer. With a new album out earlier this year called Closer to the Bone, he just took home the 2025 Blues Music Award for Blues Rock Artist of the Year.

Kid Francescoli
Mathieu Hocine started his project Kid Francescoli in Marseille, France, around the turn of the 20th century, soon recruiting a series of supporting musicians. They played their first gigs in 2004 and, by the time albums such as With Julia (2014) and Play Me Again (2017) were released, they were considered stars of the French electro-pop scene. Among their best known hits is “Moon (And It Went Like)” featuring Julia Minkin, which scored over 90 million YouTube views. For the band’s first San Diego performance, they’re touring in support of their sixth album, Sunset Blue.

Orchestral Manoeuvres In the Dark
Founded in Meols, Merseyside UK circa 1978, synth-pop pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) combines an experimental, minimalist ethos with pop sensibilities. Founders Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys also introduced the "synth duo" format to British popular music. The group released their debut single "Electricity" in 1979, and achieved several international top ten hits during the 1980s and 1990s, including their signature songs “Enola Gay” (1980) and “If You Leave” (1986, recorded for the Pretty In Pink film soundtrack). After splitting for several years, they reformed in 2006 and released four more albums, the most recent being 2023’s Bauhaus Staircase.
