Alex Warren
Born in Carlsbad, Alex Warren’s father died of cancer when he was nine, and his mother's struggles with alcoholism led to him becoming homeless at age 17. He turned his experiences into a social media presence where, particularly on TikTok, his content gained a large following. He went on to co-found a collective of TikTok influencers, Hype House, as well as launching a successful music career with singles such as his global number one hit “Ordinary.” The bill includes viral favorite Paul Russell (“Lil Boo Thang”) and former Why Don’t We member Jonah Marais.

Ghost
Swedish rock band Ghost first earned worldwide attention for elaborate costumes and makeup which masked their identities, with a lead singer calling himself Papa Emeritus (whose name and appearance evolved from project to project) backed by his Nameless Ghouls. Later revealed as the brainchild of Tobias Forge, they earned fame on the strength of tracks like “Mary On a Cross,” “Year Zero,” “Dance Macabre,” and “Square Hammer,” as well as for their ambitious concert staging. They recently topped the Billboard 200 albums chart with their sixth studio full-length Skeletá.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
Founded in Australia circa 2010 by singer and multi-instrumentalist Stuart Douglas Mackenzie, psych-rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are known for jam band faves such as “Robot Stop,” “Crumbling Castle, “Rattlesnake,” and “The River,” as well as for their aggressively prolific album output. They’ve been known to release multiple albums per year, as well as offering “bootleg” recordings of live performances, both current and vintage. For this appearance at downtown’s acoustically-designed Rady Shell, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are joined by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and Sarah Hicks, Conductor & Music Director, for a rare appearance with a full symphony.
