The Croome Brothers Trio features three members from local Americana band Daring Greatly; brothers Patrick Croome and Liam Croome, alongside Brayden Tario. Drawing from their shared musical roots (The Band, etc), they fuse soulful acoustic guitar, bright keyboards, and rhythmically precise cajon percussion.

The newest edition of the Acoustic Evenings at the Athenaeum series presents Eagles songwriter Jack Tempchin, whose songs have been recorded by ex-Byrd Chris Hillman, George Jones, Glen Campbell, Tanya Tucker, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Rivers, Jay Z, Coolio, Trisha Yearwood, and more. Other performers for the La Jolla event include Gregory Page (the Rugburns) and BanjerDan.

His debut 11-track solo album Palm Trees dropped in 2020, followed by Pure Fun in 2022, with videos recently produced for his tracks “Ground Hole” and “Africa.” The Little Italy bill includes Mutt, Lose, and Decent Criminal.

Swami & The Bed Of Nails features Swami John Reis of Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu, PLOSIVS, etc. A debut single was released in early 2024, “How Are You Peeling,” recorded by Reis at City Of Refuge and Ben Moore at Singing Serpent. A music video recently dropped for the track co-created by David da Cruz of Mondo Ray. The bill includes psychedelic 8-track flashbacks courtesy of locals The Loons.

Kahlil Nash at Soda Bar March 26

Kahlil Nash was a student at San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts School when he began appearing in musicals like Les Miserables. He struck out on his own as a solo performer with a 2016 EP called Elation. Nash’s full-length Transcendence won a 2021 San Diego Music Award for Best R&B, Funk or Soul Album. Also appearing in City Heights will be The Guest Room and Helena Holleran.
