The bill includes The Naked I and Lords of the Satellite.

The Price of Dope at the Casbah August 12

Acid-jazz group the Price of Dope first earned local notice in the 1990s, with songs from the band’s debut CD used for Rob Machado’s (MTV) surf videos and featured on local TV and radio (Bluetorch, KUSI, KSDS). They’ve played sporadic reunion shows since splitting in the late 1990s. The bill includes Krass Bros.

George Piper Memorial Show at Winstons Beach Club August 13

Local guitar hero George Piper was known from bands such as 1990s hard rockers Nemesis and the Roni Lee Band, where he collaborated with the titular former songwriter for the Runaways.
