Nature joins antifa, burns large swaths of California in protest

Fiery and Not at All Peaceful

Nature: “I mean, from my perspective, no particular individual lives of any kind really matter. But life itself? That matters. And the planet is growing increasingly uninhabitable for, you know, living things. It’s time for you fat, comfortable human-type people to increase the peace and reduce the use. If I have to incinerate the entire West Coast to make myself heard, so be it. All y’all can rest in power for all I care. But enough with the systematic abuse of me, okay? Besides, I’m sure insurance will cover whatever damage I do. That’s what it’s for!”

The Readers has gone off the rails. What a stupid article. For the less than brilliant it would seem that Antifa started the fires.

This is satire.

Sept. 20, 2020

I think Alex knows that. Years ago those Mencken pieces were so believable that they seemed more like actuality than what was going on. That was great satire. More recently these efforts just don't cut it.

Sept. 21, 2020

I still think the Mencken pieces are funny, and I don't think Alex knew. When you click on the article, the author doesn't appear. People mistake this column for real all the time. including regular readers.
