The package was worth $220. Jones also picked up a $63 meal from Sempra at the Andaz Maui on November 18, coinciding with ex-Democratic state senator Steve Peace’s annual post-session Hawaiian blowout for legislators.

Citizens for Patient Rights, a political committee backed by the local medical marijuana industry, had a solid 2014, according to its February 9 disclosure filing with the county. The group came up with $58,088 in contributions from a variety of pot advocates, including the $22,000 from the United Patients Alliance of National City, $9750 from San Diego’s Cannabis Education Project, and $6000 from Highland Medical Packing of Vista.
