Rabbititis in San Marcos!

Do you see spots before your eyes? Do you feel any rabbit inclinations? Is multiplication your strong suit? Have you recently paid a visit to San Marcos? Good gwacious! You could be suffering from rabbititis and in desperate need of a visit to the doc, doc!

A cat in San Marcos has tested positive for rabbititis, better known as “rabbit fever” or tularemia, an infectious disease that could prove injurious to humans and domestic rabbits.

Don’t worry, folks. The kitty and everyone who came in contact with it are all hale and hearty and no other pets in the vicinity show any signs of carrying the dreaded contagion.

Fox 6 shares some simple tips on how to protect themselves and their precious pets: don’t go hiking in bushy areas where ticks might hide and avoid touching dead animals. So much for today’s plans.
