A man was shot to death at Tijuana’s Zona Norte flea market at about 1:30 in the afternoon on October 30.

The market, "el sobre ruedas" (“on wheels”), as it is known, is located at Calle Coahuilla between Niños Héroes and Mutualismo. Thus far, clues in the murder, now being investigated by the Procuraduria General de Justicia del Estado, indicate no apparent motive.

A 25-year-old man, Juan Antonio Arrellano Cazares, who had been trying on a Rey Mysterio lucha libre wrestler's mask, was reportedly attacked by assailants and subsequently gunned down in an attack that left dozens of others standing by in shock.

The young man was reportedly pursued as he tried to escape. He was shot at several times before he suffered a fatal wound to the head. At least ten shell casings were found along the path of his flight. His assailants escaped in a Taxi Libre and are still being sought.
