A Burger’s a Burger

I’m calling regarding Brandon Hernandez’s article, “Taking salt & pepper off The Counter.”

I understand what he’s saying. Everything seems to be gourmet these days, and everything seems to be called “cuisine” at so many restaurants that don’t even know what gourmet or cuisine means, in my opinion. They just know that it means “better.”

The problem is that those words don’t have any meaning legally. Just like organic did not have any meaning until it was codified and Congress said organic means such and such.

There’s no such category for natural. Anybody can call anything “natural” and it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. And anybody can say gourmet. These gourmet burger joints are all serving the same burger. They just have a nicer, more upscale interior than say, McDonald’s.

Good luck to you Keep on Truckin Tim. You have a rough road ahead but I know a few who stuck with it and found success along that very difficult road. It can be done. Take all the help you can get and try to igore the aggravation and red tape that often comes along with assistance. I have been educated: AB109, jail vs. prison, state vs. county responsibility, parole vs. probation vs. supervision, inmate vs. prisoner vs. criminal.
