The Surfrider Foundation and Sierra Club are out with their environmental rankings of California Coastal Commission members, and San Diego city councilman Ben Hueso shows up near the bottom, at 10 out of 12, with a score of 24 percent. According to the report, Hueso was absent for the vote on the Foothill Transportation Corridor South, the proposal to build a private toll road through San Onofre State Park that the groups call the “most important vote” of 2008. Commissioners rejected the project on an 8–2 vote.
