U2's 2005 worldwide "Vertigo" tour will open March 28 at the San Diego Sports Arena, with tickets going on sale January 29, says the January 21 issue of Billboard magazine. It's called the Vertigo tour because that's the name of the first single from their new album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
Billboard says, "Conservative estimates put the tour's gross potential at $225--$250 million." Ticket prices will run $49.50 to $165.
U2 will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame March 14 (in New York City, not Cleveland).
