Casey Ryback, full-time Navy cook, moonlighting One-Man Army, is again in the right place at the right time: travelling with his newly orphaned niece on a hijacked passenger train, made over into a mobile command post for an evil genius bent on demolishing the Pentagon. Birdbrained, copycatty, but puppyishly energetic -- and Everett McGill, with his Jack Palance profile and his silver hair cropped like Kevin Costner's Bodyguard, makes a formidable villain (he finds pepper spray quite refreshing), until, that is, he goes mano a mano with Steven Seagal. Seagal is too swellheaded to allow the fight to be even competitive. With Eric Bogosian, Katherine Heigl, Morris Chestnut; directed by Geoff Murphy. (1995) — Duncan Shepherd
