Burt and Liza together again, a dozen years after Lucky Lady -- not that they've noticed the passage of time. "It's called joie de vivre," chirps former hoofer, current hooker Minnelli (actual age, forty-one), when having to explain her special something. And Reynolds, a tough cop whose football memorabilia share apartment space with things like a bowl of wax fruit and a Snoopy greeting card, reminisces at one point: "I like the Sixties. Life was simple then. The only thing I had to worry about was getting laid for the first time," thus leaving us to calculate that he was still worrying about losing his virginity into his thirties. What's up-to-date here is only the Robocop fashions on the bad guy, James Remar. A simply ridiculous movie, even besides the female lead. With Richard Masur, Bernie Casey, Robby Benson, and Dionne Warwick; directed by Jerry London. (1988) — Duncan Shepherd
