So this is "cyberpunk," duly authenticated with a script by the Bard of the genre, William Gibson. To the layman, it may just look like your basic race-against-the-clock and run-from-the-mob ("Shit, it's the yakuza!"), augmented, not to say enhanced (to fall into the prevailing computerese), more truthfully overloaded, with arbitrary gadgets and computer graphics, impenetrable charcoal-gray color schemes (courtesy of the blind or befogged eye of artist Robert Longo, in his filmmaking debut), and no less impenetrable gobbledygook. The question arises: is there such a thing as better cyberpunk, good cyberpunk? With Keanu Reeves, Diana Meyer, Dolph Lundgren. (1995) — Duncan Shepherd
