This three-act farce has been hailed as one of the all-time greats. It's also an exhausting script to perform. The piece, especially the madhouse of Act two, calls for controlled chaos. One false move and noises on. For Lamb's Players, credit director Robert Smyth, movement and fight coordinator Jordan Miller, and a terrific ensemble cast for unleashing an incremental maelstrom, as we watch an allegedly professional troupe devolve from an inept rehearsal to the last week of the run, as the actors' personal problems invade their characters. Critic's Pick.
