Balboa Park Tours: Women’s History Tour

Developed in collaboration with the Center for Women’s History at the San Diego History Center, this special tour highlights the historical and contemporary women whose vision, leadership, and creativity helped shape Balboa Park into the vibrant cultural destination it is today. Among the impactful women featured include philanthropist Ellen Browning Scripps, the “mother of Balboa Park” Kate Sessions, and sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle.
The tour meets at the Bea Evenson Fountain, between the Natural History Museum and Fleet Science Center, every third Saturday of the month at 10am. Suggested $5 donation. For more information, contact [email protected] or (619) 239-0512 x8.
