Pointeworks presents Compositions: An Evening of Katie Jenkins, a celebration of Resident Composer Katie Jenkins featuring three original ballet commissions performed with live music.
Curated by Artistic Director Sophie Williams, the evening brings together an international cast of artists for a program dedicated entirely to female voices in both choreography and composition.
The program features the return of Laine Habony’s Chasing Shadows, a piano solo work, alongside Jacquelyn Long’s Moving Forces for six dancers, piano, and violin. The evening culminates in a world premiere by choreographer Hélène Simoneau, featuring a new score for live string quartet.
