End of the Line and Downcast
San Diego’s End of the Line and Santa Barbara’s Downcast, who last played together in 1992, are hooking up for a pair of June dates in San Diego and Los Angeles. End of the Line burned quickly, playing less than eight months together. These mark the band’s first shows in 34 years. Downcast remained active much longer and has sporadically reassembled for shows over the last several years. Both broke ground as part of the early roster of influential DIY label Ebullition Records, releasing highly regarded collections of intense, emotional, angry hardcore. Coincidentally, both are now associated with Three One G Records. Together these bands bring decades of experience back to the cramped stages of small punk clubs, where they had originally cut their teeth. End of the Line and Downcast play San Diego’s Che Café June 13 and Los Angeles’s Oblivion June 14. San Diego band Three Moments of an Explosion will be opening both events, along with local openers.
